There was a day I could ski all day, party all night. I now prefer embracing the: Ski All Day part. I want to be "Granny on The Greens" down the line, singing on the blues, getting every last run I can in life.
I have skied the steeps and deeps; now my knees bear the scars. I will still dive into the woods on a good snow day, but I also love cruising and enjoying the views. Hairball, a little dip in the woods at Wildcat Mountain in New Hampshire, looked good today; the ropes are usually up. Today: Ropes down. I dove in; The Cat spit me out the other side. I had fun, and as Elton John Sings: "Don't you know that I'm still standing better than I ever did? Looking like a true survivor, feeling like a little kid And I'm still standing after all this time". ~ Elton John & Bernie Taupin
Veni, Vidi, Vici, said Julius Caesar. I came, I saw I conquered. Now time to enjoy the Corduroy until Mother Nature gifts us again with lots of cushion. Every day on the mountain is a great day! Don't get stuck on a barstool; get back outside.
